About the Artist
After several years of designing and creating hand painted silk scarves and wearable art, I found my new passion—weaving. I had always been fascinated by the weaving process. I purchased my first loom and got started finding books and instructional videos to set me on my path to weaving.
One of the things I really loved about silk painting was the range of colors of the dyes I used to create my pieces. Weaving yarns do not disappoint when it comes to color and texture. I love the shimmer and shine of tencel and bamboo and the soft vibrant colors of alpaca, wool and “yes” silk! So many colors, textures and designs. Now instead of shelves of dyes my shelves are brimming with colorful yarns. What fun!
